Fallen tree blocking city road
A FALLEN tree blocked a main road in Southampton, causing problems for motorists.
The tree fell on Burgess Road, Swaythling, near the junction with The Avenue, as 12.51pm this afternoon.
Part of the oak tree landed on a taxi, although no casualties have been reported.
Road closures were in place on Burgess Road, Bassett Avenue and Bassett Crescent East, but were lifted around 2.45pm.
