TIME is running out for those hoping to take part in a grand procession to mark one of the most action-packed weeks on the Hampshire calendar.
Eastleigh Carnival Week already has more than 20 entries but more will be accepted right up until the big day.
Organiser Jo Lockyer said: “The procession in Eastleigh is getting better and better each year and now attracts people from all over the country to watch and take part.”
A funfair, a teddy bears’ picnic and a sandcastle competition are among the other highlights of the event.
Carnival week starts with a fair and crowning of the carnival court on August 7.
After more than a week of activities, revellers will line the streets of the town centre to see the procession at 6pm on Saturday, August 14. The fundraising events conclude the next night with a quiz.
To take part in the procession call Jo on 07724 521474.
