SHE'S most famous for sailing around the world single-handed but Southampton adventurer Dee Caffari admitted taking part in Race for Life was another personal challenge.
Wearing the No 2 shirt, Dee led her own team sporting orange baseball caps around the 5km course on Southampton Common.
When Dee was asked to speak before the start of the Southampton Race for Life, she said she was proud to be able to motivate women to meet the 5km challenge.
"Everybody has a challenge every day of their lives in whatever they do you don't have to sail round the world.
"For the last six months my aerobic exercise has been confined to a 72 ft long boat so taking part in Race for Life will be quite difficult but I am looking forward to the challenge," she said.
