SPORTING challenges will take place at a family fun day to raise cash for charities.
The Rotary Club of Southampton East and Hamble Community and Sports College have arranged a Hamble Community Sportathon with fun events and activities for all ages.
The event will include family swimming, cycling, walking, street dancing, five-a-side football, tug of war contest, tennis, Zumba dancing, badminton, basket ball and triathlon.
The event takes place on Saturday from 9am at Hamble Sports and Community College, Satchel Lane.
All week, pupils from Hamble Community and Sports College, Hamble Primary School, Netley Abbey Infant and Junior schools and Bursledon Iinfant and Junior Schools will take part in sports master classes run by local sporting stars including Katy Sexton, the Olympic swimming world record holder.
