A FAMILY has paid tribute to a mother-of-four who died after falling from her bicycle on the Isle of Wight.
Forty-seven-year-old Kathryn Anne Hollis, of Brighstone, fell on the B3399 at Brook Shute and died at St Mary’s Hospital, Newport, on Monday.
In a moving tribute her family described Mrs Hollis as “Our gorgeous mum, wife, daughter, elder sister and friend.
“A primary school teacher who loved the kids as much as they loved her.
“A happy, healthy and beautiful mum of four who had recently completed her second triathlon, getting a personal best – we are so proud of you Kathryn.
“We will always remember Kathryn at her very best and at her peak – fit, beautiful, content and loved by everyone.”
They also paid tribute to Mrs Hollis’ love of music and travel and said she had taught all her children to play the piano, inspiring them to love music.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident at 11am on Sunday to call PC Simon Richardson at Shanklin Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting Operation Dowlas.
Alternatively, they can call the charity Crimestoppers line anonymously on 0800 555 111. Those calling from outside Hampshire and the Isle of Wight should call 0845 045 45 45.
