A SOUTHAMPTON man who collapsed while he visited his doctor’s surgery died from heart failure, an inquest has heard.
Denys John, 57, of Roundhill Close in Midanbury, was receiving treatment for the Hepatitis C infection as well as alcoholic cirrhosis when he collapsed. But Southampton’s coroner’s court was told he suffered a cardiac arrest and that his alcohol and drug-related health problems were only a secondary cause of death.
Coroner Keith Wiseman recorded a verdict of death from natural causes.
