A JUDGE told a former butcher from Southampton that he was too old to be vandalising trucks parked in the street.
Self-confessed alcoholic Frayne Elliot of Languard Road, Polygon, admitted criminal damage after he began kicking a van.
Southampton Crown Court heard how the police were called to Adelaide Road in St Denys, Southampton, when Elliot was seen “acting in a bizarre fashion”.
He caused £150 worth of damage.
When police caught up with Elliot, a 44-year-old former butcher, he blamed his behaviour on concussion.
But Judge Gary Burrell told him: “Beating up an iron truck is not something good to be doing for someone your age.”
The court was also told that Elliot was now in breach of a 28 week suspended sentence received in January for a public order offence at his home in Janson Road. Judge Gary Burrell stepped back from activating the suspended sentence and imposed a fresh one of 20 weeks suspended for a year – plus an alcohol treatment requirement.
