A MAN was punched in the face twice when he was robbed by thugs outside his Southampton home.
The victim was going back to his flat at Withewood Mansions in Shirley Road at about midnight when he was confronted by two men at the bottom of the stairs.
One of them punched him in the face and took his mobile phone before demanding money. He was punched in the face again while he emptied his pockets. He handed over about £30 in notes and change before the suspects fled.
The victim was left shaken with a swollen and bruised eye and a sore face.
One attacker is described as black, in his mid to late 20s, about 5ft 9in and slim with broad shoulders.
He was clean shaven with a clear complexion and very short black shaved hair. He had a silver tooth in his upper jaw and wore a white T shirt with a black sports jacket, blue jeans and a silver watch.
The other suspect is described as black, in his early 20s, 6ft, of slim build and clean shaven. He had short black hair and wore a white T shirt with a black pattern, a wet look black sports jacket and black jogging bottoms with vertical stripes. He had a large silver chain around his neck.
