A HAMPSHIRE stroke victim died after losing control of his wheelchair outside his New Forest nursing home, an inquest heard.
Roy Wheeler-Osman, 79, was being cared for at Forest Court Nursing Home after suffering a stroke which left him partially paralysed.
Southampton Coroner’s Court heard how his family had given permission for him to have access to the gardens of the property in Forest Way in Calmore.
The inquest heard how he had fallen from his wheelchair in June after he was travelling along a service road. He was taken to Southampton General Hospital with serious head injuries and died two weeks later. Coroner Keith Wiseman recorded a verdict of accidental death.
