A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after she fell from a 30ft bridge onto a busy Hampshire dual carriageway.
The pedestrian was on a foot bridge over Millbrook Road West- the main route into Southampton- when she fell onto the road.
Police officers and ambulances including an air ambulance were called to the incident near the Paynes Road exit at 10.51am.
The woman was taken to Southampton General Hospital by land ambulance with a broken leg.
Motorists faced heavy delays as traffic came to a stand still while emergency services treated the woman, near the middle railing of the city's dual carriageway.
