Pedestrian in hospital following road accident
A PEDESTRIAN has been rushed to hospital following a road accident this afternoon.
The 60-year-old man was involved a collision with a car around 4.30pm, this afternoon in central Southampton.
He was taken to Southampton General Hospital with minor injuries, according to South Central Ambulance Service.
The accident happened on The Avenue near the Dock O' the Bay restaurant.
The car was being driven by a 34-year-old female, who was unhurt.
The incident caused tailbacks amid rush hour traffic conditions.
