Bill Martin, daredevil Southampton pensioner
A DAREDEVIL Southampton pensioner has celebrated his 80th birthday in exhilarating style.
Bill Martin, from St Anne’s Road, Woolston, asked his family for a 12,000ft skydive to mark the milestone celebration. Unwilling to let him fling himself out of a plane, they opted instead to take him to an indoor skydiving facility in Milton Keynes.
Mr Martin leapt into 130mph wind speeds to simulate a real freefall, an experience he said was ‘absolutely super’.
