A WOMAN was forced against a wall and subjected to a sexual assault as she walked along a Southampton street.
The 25-year-old victim was approached from behind by her attacker as she made her way home in the early hours of yesterday morning.
She was walking home along Southcliff Road between 2.30 and 2.45am when the attack took place on the junction of Dover Street.
The man forced her against a wall. She fought with him for a few minutes as he sexually assaulted her. He then ran from the scene.
Now police are urgently trying to trace witnesses and trace the man who carried out the attack.
He is described as Asian, in his 20s, 5ft 7 inches tall, light brown skin, no facial hair, dark brown short hair with a fringe, small face and skinny build.
He was wearing a dark coloured jacket, which was waist length and done up, it was made of waterproof type material and was red around the top part with possible yellow marks on the sleeves.
