A WOMAN died from alcohol-related problems, an inquest heard.
Pauline Dilling was found by her family unresponsive and not breathing after she collapsed in her bathroom in the early hours.
The 46-year-old, of Stirling Crescent, Hedge End, was pronounced dead at Southampton General Hospital at 5.40am on July 13.
Pathologist Dr Norman Carr, from the Southampton University Hospitals Trust, said Ms Dilling died from a condition called ketoacidosis, creating an abnormality in the metabolism, which can happen when people drink too much alcohol and then stop.
He said: “This can occur completely out of the blue.”
Coroner Keith Wiseman recorded a verdict of death by natural causes.
