HE’S more associated with the diving board than chopping boards, but Southampton Olympian Pete Waterfield was the perfect choice to help a city school celebrate its new kitchen.
The diver, who won a silver medal at the Athens Olympics, helped kids at Foundry Lane Primary School open their new facility yesterday and inspire youngsters to eat healthily.
Pete, from Millbrook, was given a guided tour of the school by head teacher Andy Withers, before sitting down with young pupils to tuck into lunch prepared at the kitchen.
