HUNDREDS of people across Hampshire remembered the fallen this morning.
Despite heavy wind and rain, young and old gathered at war memorials throughout the county to pay tribute to those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
The dead were remembered while those still fighting on the frontline in Afghanistan were honoured and thanked for their continued dedication.
In Warsash friends and family of brave bomb disposal expert Sapper William Blanchard honoured the 39-year-old who was fatally shot in Helmand Province on October 30.
