VILLAGERS in South Wonston opposed to motocross have been urged to attend a planning inquiry this week.
Locals objected to noise from motocross races at Three Maids Hill on the edge of Winchester, saying it disturbed their peace.
Ann Peal, chairman of South Wonston Parish Council, spoke at a two-day inquiry last July into Winchester City Council’s refusal to grant permission for motocross at the site.
The inquiry is to be reconvened at Winchester Guildhall today and tomorrow to hear further evidence.
Applicant Tony Child had asked for permanent permission to host motocross after a five-year temporary license expired but was refused.
The planning inspector’s decision is expected by Christmas.
