Maisonette fire in city
RESIDENTS were evacuated from their homes in Southampton yesterday evening after a kitchen caught fire.
People emptied out of a block of maisonettes on Vangard Road, in Midanbury, at about 5pm after fire alarms sounded.
No-one was hurt, however. Fire-fighters extinguished the fire within minutes, leaving fire and smoke damage in the affected property.
