Detectives are hunting an armed robber who threatened a shop worker with a metal bar during a raid on a convenience store.
The masked raider threatened the woman worker and stole approximately £300 in cash before running away from the shop.
The robbery happened at Hunnyhill Stores, Hunnyhill, in Newport, Isle of Wight at 8pm last night.
The man was described as white, 5ft 7ins tall, slim, with short dark hair. He was wearing a red and white face mask with a dark top and tracksuit trousers.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Lee Torrance of Isle of Wight CID said: “Although the woman working in the shop was not hurt, she is extremely upset and shaken by what happened.”
