PLANNERS are to rule on two schemes to provide a permanent home for travellers and travelling showmen in the Winchester district.
Both are already up and running – at Shedfield and also Highbridge near Colden Common – without city council permission.
The Highbridge scheme has triggered 21 objection letters from residents, while the other has led to 12.
Parish councils at both sites are also opposed, but city council planning officers reckon the schemes are fine.
The city council’s planning committee will decide both schemes tomorrow.
