Shop raider is armed with iron bar
DETECTIVES are hunting an armed robber who threatened a shop worker with a metal bar during a raid on a convenience store.
The masked raider threatened the woman worker and stole approximately £300 in cash before running away from the shop.
The robbery happened at Hunnyhill Stores, Hunnyhill, in Newport, Isle of Wight at 8pm on Monday.
The man was described as white, 5ft 7ins, slim, with short dark hair. He was wearing a red and white face mask with a dark top and tracksuit trousers.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Constable Lee Torrance at Newport Police Station by phoning 101.
Information can also be given anonymously by calling the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
