THE Foo Fighters are the latest band to play the south next year.
Lead by frontman Dave Grohl the band are to headline at next year’s Isle of Wight festival.
The multiple Grammy and Brit Award winners last played at the festival in 2006.
They will headline on the Saturday night of next years event.
The band join the Kings of Leon and the newly reformed Pulp for the event, at Seaclose Park, Newport, Isle of Wight, which runs from Friday June 10 to Sunday June 12.
Foo Fighters, an American rock band from Seattle, have had two number one albums in the UK and four top 10 albums with Foo Fighters, The Colour & The Shape, There Is Nothing Left To Lose and In Your Honour.
