A MAN robbed an Isle of Wight shop after threatening staff last night.
The offender demanded money and threatened staff before fleeing with several hundreds of pounds.
The incident at McColls, on Union Street, Ryde, happened after 10pm.
The suspect is described as dark skinned, 16 to 18 years old and wearing a blue and grey striped hooded jumper with the hood pulled tightly around his face and a yellow or orange design on the back.
He was also wearing a hat underneath his hood, blue fingerless gloves and a black rucksack.
Police would like to speak to anyone who saw someone matching the suspect’s description to contact Newport Police Station by calling 101 or for those outside Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, by calling 0845 045 45 45.
