A FIVE-year-old girl is continuing to fight for life in hospital today after falling from her scooter in to the path of a bus.
The youngster was accompanied by her mother as they made their way along Knightwood Road in Chandlers Ford yesterday afternoon.
Police say the child fell from the scooter onto the road colliding with a single-decker bus which was travelling north west along the road.
She sustained serious life-threatening head injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital.
The 50-year-old bus driver, who lives in Hedge End, was not injured.
Police have issued a fresh appeal for witnesses to the incident, which happened at around 3.20pm.
