The Weekend started with a night of frantic fast-paced pop punk from Kids In Glass Houses and with a great support band to boot, this was one of the craziest gigs Southampton Guildhall has seen in a while.

The first support act was You And What Army who hit the stage and did a great job of warming up the crowd for Boys Like Girl. I thoroughly enjoyed their set as did the majority of the crowd, however, I was slightly taken aback with the amount of time the band dedicated to throwing picks, lobbing water bottles and swearing at the crowd, the first couple of times it rallied the crowd but after the 3rd and 4th water bottle it became very predictable. When Kids In Glass Houses took to the stage with Sunshine the crowd went wild, the gig didn’t slow down from there, with other hits from their new album including The Best Is Yet To Come and Undercover Lover, in my opinion the set lacked old songs, none the less all the original hits were there including Give Me What I Want, Easy Tiger and Fisticuffs which caused the entire crowd to burst into a scene of frenzied moshing. Overall a night that all who went won’t forget, I’m sure Kids In Glass Houses will be welcomed back with open arms.
