SOUTHERN Water has celebrated quadruple gold at a prestigious public relations awards ceremony.
The company won all four categories it had been shortlisted for at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Awards, for the Home Counties South region.
The utility firm’s communications department was named Outstanding In-House Public Relations Team for the fourth year running.
The company won gold for:
• Best Campaign (£10,000 and under) for its Fight the Fat campaign, highlighting the hazards of pouring cooking fat down the sink.
• Best Use of Photography and Design for its Water Design Challenge, a schools programme challenging pupils to come up with solutions to reduce water waste.
• And Best Community Relations for its Blooming Schools programme. This helped hundreds of schools across Sussex, Hampshire, Kent and the Isle of Wight create gardens.
Andy Shaddick, Southern Water’s public affairs manager, said: “These accolades are a fantastic endorsement of the important work Southern Water has been carrying out.”
