THE country’s first purpose built animal rescue vehicle being launched by Hampshire Fire and Rescue today.
The specialist five-tonne chassis cost £75,000 and will help save the lives of the public, firefighters and animals.
It part of a strategy that has made the county’s firefighters the hub of animal rescue in the country and a beacon of excellence across the world.
Based in Lymington, it may soon be rolled out across the country.
Newsreader and Real Rescues presenter Louise Minchin will be helping launch the Iveco Daily 4x4. The ambitious project was sponsored by Petplan Charitable Trust.
