THE HOSPITAL wards of Southampton have untapped potential and tonight that talent is taking to the stage.
Staff from Southampton General Hospital will ditch their scrubs and stethoscopes for the glitz and glamour of show business as they sing for stardom in aid of charity.
The Child Health’s Got Talent event will see some of the city’s top consultants battle it out on stage to prove that they have the X-Factor.
The night of entertainment at Holy Family Church in Millbrook has been organised to raise money for various paediatric departments through Southampton Hospital Charity.
Among those performing include consultant paediatric gastroenterologist Dr Nadeem Afzal on the guitar, a team of nurses starring in their version of The Sound Of Music and the children’s x-ray department, who are keeping their act secret.
To add extra glamour to the occasion, Southampton boy band The Reason, who appeared on X-Factor earlier this year, will perform.
Child Health’s Got Talent takes place tonight at Holy Family Church, Millbrook, from 6.30pm. Tickets are available from the G4 surgery ward or on the night, Tickets cost £5 for adults and £2.50 for children.
