The Daily Echo’s Out There models entertained the crowds of shoppers at WestQuay with their winter sparkle fashion show.

Crowds gathered throughout the day to watch the local youngsters aged just six to eighteen. Modelling the latest winter fashions and party wear from New Look. River Island, Gap, Miss Selfridge and Zara. They took to the stage to perform six fashion shows, with routines choreographed by Kimberley Smart of 2Groove Dance & Fitness and audio editing and production by Lou Stonehill from Studio 4.

The models make up and hair styling was designed by Solent University students studying BA (Hons) Make Up & Hair Design for Music, Film & Photography, led by Lara Himpelmann and Kat Bogart, assisted by Sarah Howard and first year students, Sophie Allison,Layla Webster,Zaynad Bostan and Lucy Macdonald.

The Daily Echo is giving local teenagers a wonderful opportunity to model for national retailers at some of the biggest venues in the area. It’s a great introduction to fashion styling and make up, it’s non-competitive, builds confidence and most importantly, it’s fun!
