It’s not often that children are given free reign to make as much noise as they like.
But that was the case for about 150 youngsters at St John’s Primary School in Southampton, when they were treated to a musical taster day.
Pupils up to Year 3 were given free lessons on how to play the guitar, drums, flute and violin throughout the course of the day, which was organised by charity Music For All.
The organisation works with communities to provide the free sessions, with local stores Fret Music and Beckett Music donating the instruments and top music teachers from across the city involved in running the event.
