A MAN from Hangersley in the New Forest has been ordered to pay nearly £2,000 after assaulting one man and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards another.
Paul Mills-Owens, 67, of St Aubyns Lane, assaulted John Packham in the village on September 14. On the same day he threatened Paul Figg.
Lyndhurst magistrates ordered Mills-Owens, who was found guilty by the court, to pay a £500 fine for each charge, £930 costs and a victim surcharge of £15.
