A DIRECTOR of a controversial Hampshire bar has been fined for assault at the premises.

Kalvin Collymore, 42, of Bassett Green Road, Southampton, was convicted of assault at Bar3One, in The Square, Winchester, in August against a problem customer.

Collymore appeared at Andover Magistrates’ Court and was fined £250, with £200 costs but no compensation.

Recently police lost patience after a series of incidents at the venue and applied for earlier closure of 1am.

City councillors on the licensing committee were told Bar3One was the most problematic venue in Winchester since it opened in 2006. But the committee opted to order the bar close 30 minutes earlier at 2am for a three-month trial.
