HUNDREDS of villagers picked up their Christmas trees over the weekend in a tradition dating back 30 years.
The community tree sale, which does not make a profit, was organised by retired teacher Tessa Short and her husband Ron to bring some festive cheer to Titchfield.
A team of schoolboys spent the morning preparing the trees, from three to five feet high, for customers to collect and display at the front of the their houses in the village Mrs Short, pictured, said: “We just want to brighten up the village and bring a bit of Christmas spirit.
It’s still good fun all these years on.”
