POLICE are patrolling part of the Hampshire coastline in a bid to prevent vandals damaging beach huts.
Several huts in the Calshot area have been vandalised in the past few weeks.
A police spokesman said the Country Watch team and other officers were patrolling the area to protect property and catch the offenders.
Boat-owners in nearby Fawley have also fallen victim to crime.
The spokesman said property had been stolen from several boats moored in Ashlett Creek.
