HAMPSHIRE prisoners are putting on a Christmas art show to raise money for sick children.
Inmates at Her Majesty’s Prison, Winchester, will be producing poetry, paintings and Christmas cards for a public exhibition on Thursday, December 16.
Sebastian Gates, art teacher at the prison, said: “Encouraging creative arts in prisons is a way of channelling the prisoners’ energy.
“Some of the artists will be present at the exhibition and we hope to raise lots of money for the sick children for Christmas.”
The exhibition will last from 10am until 4pm and is open to any who want to attend.
