A SOUTHAMPTON-based computer charity is offering free IT collections over the new year.
As hundreds of people across the city unwrap a new computer for Christmas, Jamie’s Computers are offering to collect unwanted machines and accessories.
Jamie’s Computers is the social enterprise arm of The Society of St James, Southampton’s largest homelessness charity, providing housing, care and support to homeless and vulnerable people.
Jamie’s Computers guarantees a professional and secure IT disposal service to businesses and individuals. They refurbish donated computers for reuse while anything that cannot be reused is recycled. Through their free IT disposal and refurbishment services, Jamie’s offers training and voluntary opportunities to socially excluded adults in the community.
Jamie’s Computers will be collecting throughout January. For more information and to book a collection email disposal@ jamies.org.uk.
