THE father of murdered architect Joanna Yeates today said he was pleased the police had made an arrest in connection with her death.
Speaking at his 600,000 pounds home in Ampfield, near Romsey, Hants, a tearful David Yeates said: "At this time our focus is still with Jo."
The 63-year-old IT worker added: "At the end of the day, obviously I'm not happy because my daughter is still dead.
"But we are pleased the police have made an arrest as they have been working very hard to make progress in this case.
"During the investigation police have not told us everything they have discovered but we understand there are certain things they cannot reveal."
Joanna's mum 58 year old Theresa, who works at supermarket Waitrose, said: "We are very pleased there has been an arrest."
