A MAN has been arrested in connection with the murder of Hampshire woman Joanna Yeates.
Police this morning announced they had arrested a 32-year-old Bristol man in connection with the 25-year-old's death.
The arrest comes after more than 300 people contacted detectives investigating the murder.
The calls all came in since a reconstruction of her final movements, police said.
The calls to the Operation Braid incident room have been made since filming started on a reconstruction of the 25-year-old’s final movements.
The tragic landscape architect’s last journey, which started after she left work on December 17, was walked by an actress and filmed for BBC’s Crimewatch.
It involved scenes at the Ram pub in Bristol, the Tesco store where she bought a pizza and the walk home alone to her flat in the Clifton area of the city.
Jo, who attended Sherborne House in Chandler’s Ford and Romsey’s Embley Park, was found dead on Christmas Day by walkers.
Her devastated parents Theresa and David Yeates, who live in Ampfield, near Romsey, have also appealed for help in finding their daughter’s killer.
Detective Chief Inspector Phil Jones, the senior investigating officer, said: "I would like to thank the public for their continued support for the investigation and the information they have provided to us.
"I would also like to pay tribute to Jo's family and to Greg who continue to be unfailing in their support to me and my team at what is an incredibly difficult and painful time for them."
