THE parents of the man charged with the murder of 17-year-old Emily Longley, have appeared in court themselves.
Anita, 50, and Leigh Turner, 53, of Queenswood Avenue, Bournemouth, were charged with intending to pervert the course of justice between May 6 and July 21.
This morning, the court heard allegations that the couple had failed to phone emergency services and removed and destroyed evidence relating to Emily’s death on May 7.
Their case was adjourned to Bournemouth Crown Court on October 3.
Elliott, 20, who has been charged with murder and perverting the course of justice, is due to appear before magistrates later today.
Emily Longley was living in Bournemouth and studying at Brockenhurst College when she was found dead in a bungalow in Queenswood Avenue.
