Police are becoming increasingly concerned about the safety of a missing 40-year-old Hampshire woman.
Sarah Vernon from Thomas Street, Lymington, was reported missing on Monday, July 18 after failing to turn up at her sister’s home in Chester.
She had called her sister on Sunday 10 July and said she was coming to visit her but would be camping in North Wales on the way. She never turned up.
Sarah has not gone missing before but it’s believed she may be depressed. She is also a diabetic who has to take regular medication and officers are concerned that she may not be doing so which would cause her serious medical problems.
A friend of Sarah’s saw and spoke to her at Tesco’s in New Milton on Saturday, July 16 but she hasn’t been seen since. It is believed from investigations that she did drive up towards North Wales however that was several days before she was seen by the friend outside the supermarket. She also has her phone turned off which is said to be completely out of character.
Officers are asking for anyone who knows her whereabouts or thinks they may have seen here recently to get in touch.
Sarah is described as she is 5ft 6 inches tall, large build, straight shoulder length blonde hair and often wears glasses. She is also left handed.
They are asked to call the officers at Lymington Police Station on 101 or from outside Hampshire call 0845 045 45 45.
