POLICE are hunting a motorist seen to be acting suspiciously towards a child.
The man, who was driving a black four-by-four style vehicle, pulled up alongside an 11- year-old boy as he walked near St Lawrence on the Isle of Wight, and offered him a lift.
The youngster said ‘no’ and walked away in the opposite direction and the car drove down the shute towards St Lawrence.
The man was described as dark skinned, aged in his 30s or 40s, with short dark hair and wearing glasses. He spoke with an Indian accent.
The vehicle was described as having darkened front windows, cream leather seats and a number plate that appeared to contain only three letters.
Anyone with information about the driver or the incident, at 4.30pm, on November 9, should contact the Isle of Wight Public Protection Department on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
