JURORS are today being chosen for the trial of the man accused of murdering Hampshire grandmother Georgina Edmonds, pictured.
Matthew Hamlen denies killing the 77-year-old by hitting her repeatedly with a rolling pin in the kitchen of her cottage in Brambridge.
Her body was discovered by her son Harry on January 11, 2008, when he returned to the family estate on the banks of the River Itchen after work.
Hamlen, 32, of Hamilton Road, Bishopstoke, was arrested in June last year and charged in February this year.
The trial at Winchester Crown Court, before Judge Guy Boney, is expected to last six weeks.
The first evidence is likely to be heard on Wednesday.
