HAMPSHIRE schoolgirl Birdy is celebrating after her debut album went straight in the UK’s top 20.
The 15-year-old, pictured, from Lymington, whose real name is Jasmine Van den Bogaerde, released the self-titled album a week ago and last night it had reached number 13 in the official chart.
The Priestlands School pupil’s success comes after her first single, a cover of Bon Iver hit Skinny Love, also made the top 20.
Birdy got her big break when she won the Open Mic UK in the national music competition for singers and solo artists.
