More than £600,000 has been raised by the church-led charity that helps slum children in Kenya with vital medical care and educational support.
But trustees of the cause have confirmed that all donations have been suspended following an internal probe that was prompted by concerns over some of the charity’s work.
It has also been revealed that the vicar of St Thomas’ church in Fair Oak, Rev David Snuggs has withdrawn from his public ministry while investigations are under way.
There is no suggestion that Rev Snuggs has been implicated in any wrongdoing.
