A MAN who was stabbed in the leg on a Southampton street is said to be recovering well.
The 30-year-old, from Eastleigh, was stabbed on his upper right thigh in Gordon Avenue, Portswood, at around 6pm on Friday and taken to Southampton General Hospital - police described his condition as stable.
Officers are focusing on identifying his attacker and are still trying to find the weapon used.
The attacker, who left the scene on a dark mountain bike, is described as Asian, in his mid-20s, 5ft 8in tall, with short dark hair.
The man sustained a serious stab wound and underwent surgery and police sealed off a 200-yard stretch of the street for several hours while they did a crime scene investigation.
Police said officers believe that the incident was the result of a dispute between two men who had arranged to meet up with each other.
