POLICE have dropped a murder investigation against a Hampshire man arrested earlier this year.
A 58-year-old from Winchester was arrested in August on suspicion of murdering Stuart Horsman, a 34-year-old who died on August 3.
Police believe Mr Horsman was assaulted in the week prior to his death. He was taken ill outside Winchester Railway Station but later died of his wounds at Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
The man answered bail on November 14 but was told no further action would be taken against him.
However, a 32-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident was rebailed on Tuesday, November 15, until January 4.
Mr Horsman was the second member of his family to die suddenly following the death of his brother Phillip, 26, from a drugs overdose in the Brooks Centre in April 2009.
