POLICE are advising women in Fordingbridge not to walk home alone at night following an assault in the town.
A 17-year-old girl was walking along Bruyn Road late at night when she was grabbed from behind by a man who forced her against a fence.
She pushed him to the ground and he ran off, leaving his victim traumatised by otherwise unharmed.
The assault happened last Saturday. Anyone with information should ring the area investigation team at Lyndhurst police station on 101.
