Developers hope the super-yacht-inspired building will be the final piece in the jigsaw to transform Ocean Village into a rival to Portsmouth’s Gunwharf Quays.
The landmark 70-bedroom hotel, which will be up to five-star standard, will jut out into the marina and boast a champagne roof terrace and waterside restaurant and bar.
Bosses are trying to tempt a Michelin-star winning chef to set up a restaurant next to the hotel.
The Daily Echo can reveal the scheme comes just weeks after we revealed a £74m plan for three apartment towers nearby that could create up to 200 jobs.
