THE developer behind Southampton’s largest housing scheme, the 1,600-home Centenary Quay in Woolston, has beaten stiff competition to be crowned sustainable housebuilder of the year at the 2011 Housebuilder Awards.
The accolade recognises Crest Nicholson’s commitment to sustainable development, as well as its success in balancing economic, environmental and social considerations to deliver sustainable mixed-use communities.
Some 1,620 new homes, mostly flats, are planned for the 31-acre former Vosper Thorneycroft site.
