VISITORS will be magically transported into a Dickensian-style bygone era of snowy white streets at the 12th Victorian Festival of Christmas from today until Sunday.
It features seasonal carols, the ever raucous Fagin’s Tavern, and a Christmas gift market.
New this year is a cookery theatre and the Museum of the Royal Navy will be displaying the world’s oldest Christmas pudding.
Visitors can meet Mother Christmas and help her to look after her four-legged helpers, Bubble and Squeak as they prepare for their busiest night of the year. The baby reindeers will be making their magical debut this year and flying alongside them will be their beautiful barn owl companion.
A Victorian Father Christmas, dressed in green, will also be giving gifts to all good children from within his new grotto and they may even have their picture taken aboard his sleigh!
